Weifang Fruit Pit Carving:A World in a Small Space

“明有奇巧人曰王叔远,能以径寸之木,为宫室器皿人物,以至鸟兽木石,罔不因势象形,各具情态。”明代文学家魏学撰写的《核舟记》为人熟知,文章通过对“核舟”的细致描述,记载了明代巧匠王叔远通过微雕再现苏轼泛舟游赤壁的神奇技巧。作为微雕工艺的一种,核雕将桃核、杏核、橄榄核等果核雕刻成独特的艺术品,通过艺人的奇思妙想和一双巧手化腐朽为神奇,被列入第二批国家级非物质文化遗产代表性项目名录。

Founded in 2005,Heyitang Fruit Pit Carving Studio has been committed to the inheritance and innovative development of Weifang fruit pit carving.Its creations have won over 100 national and provincial awards.It is intensely difficult to create a good fruit pit carving work.
