Effects of Williams life skill training on hope level and life quality in elderly patients with leukemia

目的 探讨威廉姆斯生活技能训练(Williams life skills training,WLST)对老年白血病患者希望水平和生存质量的影响。方法 选择2019年4月至2021年11月淮安市第二人民医院血液科收治的100例老年急性髓系白血病(acute myelogenous leukemia,AML)患者,借助数字表法随机将其分为观察组和对照组,对照组行常规护理,观察组在此基础上行WLST。比较观察组与对照组患者入组时和干预8周后的希望水平及生存质量。结果 入组时,观察组与对照组患者中文版Herth希望量表(Herth hope index,HHI)总分比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。干预8周后,观察组与对照组患者HHI总分均较入组时提高(P<0.05),且观察组HHI总分高于对照组(P<0.05)。入组时,观察组与对照组患者癌症患者生命质量测定体系之白血病量表(quality of life instruments for cancer patients with leukemia,QLICP-LE)总分比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。干预8周后,观察组与对照组患者QLICP-LE总分均较入组时提高(P<0.05),且观察组患者QLICP-LE总分高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论 WLST有助于改善老年AML患者心理状态,促进其希望水平和生存质量。

Objective To explore the effects of Williams life skills training(WLST)on the hope level and life quality in elderly patients with leukemia.Methods Totally100 elderly patients with acute myelogenous leukemia(AML)admitted to the Department of Hematology of the Huai’an Second People’s Hospital from April 2019 to November 2021 were recruited as study subjects,and were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method.The control group received routine nursing,while the observation group was treated with WLST on the basis of the control group.The level and life quality of the patients in the two groups at the time of enrollment and 8 weeks after intervention were observed and compared.Results At the time of enrollment,there were no statistical differences in the total scores of the Chinese version of the Herth hope index(HHI),when comparisons were made between the groups(P>0.05).However,8 weeks after intervention,the total scores of HHI in both groups increased significantly,with the total HHI scores in the observation group being higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).At the time of enrollment,there was no statistical significance in the total scores of“quality of life instruments for cancer patients with leukemia”(QLICP⁃LE),when comparisons were made between the groups(P>0.05).Following 8 weeks of intervention,the total scores of QLICP⁃LE in both groups elevated as compared with those at enrollment,with the scores in the former being higher than those in the latter(P<0.05).Conclusion WLST can help to improve the mental status of the elderly patients with leukemia,and promote their hope level and life quality.
