Nonspecific low back pain(NLBP)is a very common clinical disease,which is clinically characterized by long-term recurrent lower back pain.The pathogenesis of NLBP is complex,but the specific etiology is not clear at present,and its incidence is increasing year by year in recent years.There are studies on the prevention and treatment of NLBP in both Chinese and western medicine.Western medicine mostly uses drugs or surgery,which lacks specific therapy and has inaccurate efficacy,and even produces some serious side effects,such as diarrhea,vomiting etc.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has unique advantages in NLBP treatment,which can intervene in NLBP from acupuncture,massage,moxibustion,TCM medication and functional exercise,with positive effect on NLBP.A comprehensive understanding of the progress of TCM treatment of NLBP can help to improve the efficacy,relieve the patients′pain,reduce the disability rate,speed up the recovery,and reduce the recurrence.
