青年流动务工者的媒介使用与身份认同研究

A study of media use and identity among young migrant workers

作为数字原住民的青年流动务工者将媒介嵌入陌生城市环境的适应行动,以媒介化互动和数字化交往对抗流动性风险及身份认同困境。研究通过对23位流动务工者的深度访谈及“三和青年”线上群的非参与式观察,发现青年流动务工者多基于媒介技术赋予其身份构建的自主性,建构媒介化为导向的社会关系网络作为其在城市生存发展的重要资本。媒介使用帮助其维护原有的强关系、开拓新的弱关系,通过抱团取暖找寻“共同体”。在借助多元自我呈现增强现实认同感的过程中,部分青年流动务工者的宣泄型“伪社交”、唯利价值观加剧了其身份认同困境。

As digital natives,the young migrant workers embed the media in their adaptation into the unfamiliar urban environment,combating mobility risks and identity dilemmas through mediated interactions and digital interactions.Through in-depth interviews with 23 migrant workers and non-participatory observation of the Sanhe Youth Online Group,we found that young migrant workers autonomously constructed their identity based on media technology.They have constructed mediatization social relationship networks as an important capital for survival and development in the urban environment.Social media helps them to maintain existing strong relationships,develop new weak relationships,and embrace the warmth of the community.In the process of enhancing their identity with media technology for diverse self-presentation,some young migrant workers’“pseudo social”practice and consumerist values have exacerbated their identity dilemma.
