Keloids are pathological scars characterized by unlimited, sustained growths and are one of the challenges in the field of plastic surgery.Currently, there is no widely adopted gold standard for the treatment of keloids.Regenerative medicine based on cell therapy has become a research hotspot.Adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs)have large storage in adipose tissue and strong proliferative capacity, and can be obtained in a relatively small invasive way, which is relatively uncontroversial ethically.By exploring the possible mechanism of ADSCs inhibiting keloids,ADSCs and their derivatives were found to be able to promote high-quality tissue healing, remodel collagen, and reduce fibrosis, making them a promising intervention of keloids.
