Cracking the Regeneration Code of Nantou Old Town Architects and Their Participation in Community Revitalization

文章以深圳市南头古城2017年以来的城市更新为对象,分析了"建筑师介入"在具有历史遗存的城中村空间再生中的特定作用.围绕由城市建筑双年展和开发商推动的两次城市更新事件,以报德广场、十字街等区域的建筑改造案例讨论了建筑师介入城中村社区现实问题中的角色定位、路径方法与价值导向.南头古城建筑活化与再生的历程说明建筑师介入在城中村更新中的先导作用,同时也是维系社区原真性与内在价值的专业依托.

This paper seeks to study the urban regeneration program carrled out at the Nantou Old Town since 2017;it analyzes the specific role that participating ardhitects play in the spatial regeneration of left-over urban vllages.Inspired by two urban regeneration events driven by the Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture and real estate developers,it further explores the roles,approach,and value orientation of architects involved in the reality of urban village communities with reference to the renovation of Baode Square and Shizijie(cross-shaped main street).By examining the Nantou Old Town's revitalization process,it demonstrates that architects'participation can fuel such urban revolutions and can serve as a professlonal and academic basis to maintain the authenticity and innate value pertaining to an urban community.
