汪道涵推动两岸关系发展与国家统一的重要贡献述论

On the Significant Contributions of Wang Daohan to Promoting Cross-Straits Relations and National Reunification

自20世纪80年代末两岸开启大规模的民间交流以来,汪道涵在推动两岸政治关系由“对抗”走向“缓和”、由“对立”走向“对话”的国家统一进程中,做出了不可磨灭的贡献。一方面,他以坚定的原则性和灵活的沟通艺术举行“汪辜会谈”和“汪辜上海会晤”两次正式会谈,以“九二共识”为政治基础,建立两岸制度化的协商渠道,实现两岸从“经济对话”跨越到“政治对话”;另一方面,他积极投身两岸交流,推动中国台湾问题研究,创造性地提出关于“两岸政治定位”“共同缔造论”及“共议统一论”等前瞻性的国家统一理论,从两岸同胞所思所想和国际形势的大格局出发,跳脱中国台湾问题本身,搭建新闻媒体交流平台,以辩证思维寻求两岸社会的交流与融合,为现阶段处理两岸关系、化解政治僵局提供诸多启示与借鉴。

Since the massive civil communications and interactions across the Straits set in motion at the end of the 1980s,Wang Daohan,serving as the first president of the Association for Relations Across the China Taiwan Straits(ARATS),has made significant contributions to promoting cross-Straits relations from"antagonism"to"alleviation",and from"confrontation"to"communication."On the one hand,he held the Wang-Koo talks and the Shanghai Wang-Koo meets based on his firm principles and flexible communication skills,realizing the cross-Straits communications from"economic dialogues"to"political talks;"on the other hand,he actively engaged in the cross-Straits exchanges,advanced the studies of China Taiwan question,proposing advanced national reunification theories such as"cross-Straits political positioning,""co-creationism,"and""discussion on reunification as equals."From the heart and mind of people on both sides of the Straits and the broader patern of the international situation,Wang Daohan jumped out of the China Taiwan question itself,set up a platform for news media exchanges,and sought communication and integration of cross-Straits societies with dialectical thinking,which provides inspiration and reference for dealing with cross-Straits relations and resolving the political impasse at the current stage.
