Objective To explore the relationship between self-disclosure,fear of disease progression and mental resilience in patients with condyloma acuminatum. Methods A total of 295 patients diagnosed with condyloma acuminatum from December 2021 to April 2023 in a tertiary hospital in Zhengzhou were enrolled. The patient general information questionnaire, the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short form, the Distress Disclosure Index, and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale were filled. Results The score for fear of disease progression was 38.56±6.370,the score for mental resilience was 68.64±11.085,and the score for self-disclosure was 35.00±4.653.The progression of fear disease was negatively correlated with mental resilience(r=-0.665,P<0.001)and self-disclosure(r=-0.669,P<0.001).The mediating effect of self-disclosure on mental resilience and fear of disease progression in patients with condyloma acuminatum was-0.165(95%CI:-0.221--0.113),accounting for 43.20%of the total effect. Conclusion Selfdisclosure may partially mediate the effect between mental resilience and fear of disease progression in patients with condyloma acuminatum.By improving patients'mental resilience and self-disclosure level, patients'fear of disease progression and recurrence can be effectively reduced.
