Centennial Exploration, Multiple Transcendence and Valuable Implication of Chinese Path to Modernization

两个多世纪来,在世界现代化进程中,西方资本主义现代化、苏式社会主义现代化和混合类型现代化都曾极大地引发了人类社会物质财富、政治结构、思想观念的巨大变迁,但也在不同发展阶段显现出各自发展道路的局限性、潜藏的现代性危机和无法克服的现代性困境。180年来,中国现代化在经历一个被动开启、主动适应、自主探索、开放借鉴、守正创新、模式成熟的复杂转变过程中,创造性地开辟了一条领异标新且成效卓著的中国式现代化。其多重超越性表现在:以规模巨大为发展特质、以共同富裕为价值引领、以举国体制为坚实保障、以强而不霸为底线原则、以全面协调为发展格局。中国式现代化既凸显了坚持中国共产党领导的独特优势,也拓展了发展中国家走向现代化的典型途径,更有力塑造了民族复兴不可逆转的历史大势。

In the process of world modernization for the past two centuries,Western capitalist modernization,Soviet style socialist modernization and mixed type modernization have greatly triggered the great changes in the material wealth,political structure,and ideology of human society.However,at different stages of development,they also show the respective limitations of their development paths,the hidden modernity crisis,and the insurmountable modernity dilemma.In the past 180 years,China’s modernization has experienced a complex transformation process of passive opening,active adaptation,independent exploration,learning,innovation,and mature model,in which it has creatively opened up a new and effective Chinese path to modernization.Its multiple transcendence is manifested in the following aspects:taking the huge scale as the development characteristic,taking common prosperity as the value guidance,taking the whole country system as the solid guarantee,taking being strong but not hegemonic as the bottom line principle,and taking comprehensive coordination as the development pattern.Chinese path to modernization not only highlights the advantages of adhering to the leadership of the CPC,but also expands the way for developing countries to move towards modernization,and further demonstrates the irreversible necessity of national rejuvenation.
