“诸子的黄昏”与华丽的转身——萧绎《金楼子》再探讨

“Twilight of the Masters”and the Gorgeous Turn:A Re⁃discussion of Master of the Golden Chamber by Xiao Yi

梁元帝萧绎《金楼子》是南朝子书的代表作,在后世有着广泛的影响。这本书既是对传统子书的传承,又充满着内在的矛盾,它以杂家的方式进行编写,原创性有所缺失。但从深层的历史原因来看,齐梁世族与皇室中人精神世界的世俗化,导致了作者萧绎原创性的匮乏,与此同时,该作子书与集部诗文评的交叉互融,产生了《金楼子·立言篇》中对于文笔之辨的新观点。从总体上来看,《金楼子》不应视为“诸子的黄昏”,而应看做子书在南朝的“华丽转身”。

A masterpiece of the works of ancient philosophers other than those of Confucius in the Southern Dynasties(420 AD-589 AD),Jinlouzi(Master of the Golden Chamber),written by Xiao Yi(508 AD-554 AD),Emperor Yuan of Liang Dynasty(502 AD-557AD),has a wide influence in later generations.Though an inheritance of the traditional works of ancient philosophers,this book is stamped with internal contradictions.It is written in the way of the Syncretism or the Mixed School in Chinese philosophy,hence lacking originality.However,an in-depth inquiry of its historical reason shows that the secularization of the spiritual world of the aristocratic family and the royal family in Qi(420 AD-479 AD)and Liang Dynasties led to the lack of originality of the author Xiao Yi.At the same time,the intersection and fusion of the philosophy and the poetry criticism in literature brought about a new point of view on the discussion of the style of writing in Liyan Pian(Expounding Ideas in Writing)in Jinlouzi.On the whole,Jinlouzi should not be regarded as the“twilight of the masters,”but as a“gorgeous turn”of the works of ancient philosophers in the Southern Dynasties.
