Translation Strategies of English-Chinese Legal Terms--Based on the Translation of Black’s Law Dictionary

法律术语翻译历来是英美法律文本翻译的核心问题。基于《布莱克法律词典》术语翻译,将法律术语划分为三个类别。吸收借鉴“跨法系”和“跨语系”翻译实践经验,探讨了三类法律术语的翻译策略,旨在规范英汉法律术语翻译,讲好中国法治故事,助力我国法治的精准传播。

The translation of legal terms has always been the core issue in the translation of American legal texts.Based on the translation of terms from Black's Law Dictionary,this paper divides legal terms into three categories.Drawing on the practical experience of“cross legal system”and“cross language family”translation,this paper discusses the translation strategies of three types of legal terms,aiming to standardize the translation of English-Chinese legal terms,tell the story of Chinese rule of law,and help the accurate dissemination of Chinese rule of law.
