应用化学专业英语课程教学模式探讨

Discussion on the Teaching Mode of Professional English Course for Applied Chemistry

21世纪以来,全球国际化趋势愈加明显,世界各国在科技、经济、制造业、农业等各方面的国际合作越来越多,因此对当前高等院校大学生的国际视野和国际交流能力的要求也逐年提高。在以培养具备国际化视野的卓越工程师为目标的工科高等教育行业,与所学专业密切相关的专业英语教学将发挥比以往更加重要的作用。文章以西安理工大学理学院应用化学专业的专业英语课程教学为例,分析总结当前专业英语教学的问题与困境,并从培养方案改革、丰富课程内容、授课方式多元化及考核方式扩展等方面探索专业英语教学模式的改革方向和创新方法,增强专业英语课程在专业人才培养过程中的正面作用与价值引导。

Since the 21st century,the trend of global internationalization has become more and more obvious,and the international cooperation in science and technology,economy,manufacturing,agriculture and other aspects of the world is increasing.Therefore,the requirement for the international vision and international communication ability of college students are increasing year by year.Professional English teaching,which is closely related to one’s major,will play a more important role than ever in the engineering higher education industry,which aims to cultivate outstanding engineers with an international vision.This paper takes the teaching of the professional English course of applied chemistry in the School of Science,Xi’an University of Technology as an example,analyzes and summarizes the problems and difficulties in the current teaching of professional English,and explores the reform direction and innovative methods of the teaching mode of professional English from the aspects of the reform of training program,the enrichment of the course content,the diversification of teaching methods and the expansion of the assessment methods.Enhance the positive role and value guidance of professional English courses in the process of professional talent training.
