Acheng's journey abroad and subsequent return constitute a writer's narrative during the transitional period of the 1980s and 1990s.However,its issue-related information can only be fully elucidated within the broader context of"the last thirty years"of literature in the new era. This article employs Acheng's journey abroad and return as an exemplar while also delving into the theme of'the missing'during the 1990s.It examines how life histories impact the writer's perspective.Due to the lack of stable funding sources, many writers, like Acheng, went abroad and returned in search of self-funding but struggled to secure a consistent means of subsistence. This underscores the enduring influence of the'integrated'literary organizational model on writers'identities and survival strategies during the'last thirty years.'Revisiting the"missing persons"in 1990s literature not only entails an exploration of literary phenomena, but also encompasses a crucial aspect of literary historiography, such as the reassessment of 1990s literature.
