Objective To explore the factors influencing the severity of chronic periodontitis. Methods The clinical data of 170 subjects were retrospectively analyzed. All patients with chronic periodontitis were selected from January 2020 to January 2021,and they were selected as the study group, and 100 healthy patients who received oral examination during the same period were selected as the control group.Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression were used to analyze the severity of chronic periodontitis. Results The results of univariate analysis showed that the levels of bleeding index(BI),plaque index(PLI)and attachment loss(AL)in the study group were higher than those in the control group, the proportion of patients with smoking and diabetes were higher than those in the control group,PD was deeper than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multivariate unconditional Logistic regression analysis showed that high levels of BI,PLI and AL,older age, smoking and diabetes,PD deeper were all risk factors affecting the severity of chronic periodontitis(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusion High levels of BI,PLI and AL,older age, smoking and diabetes,PD deeper are all risk factors affecting the severity of chronic periodontitis.Clinically,it is necessary to formulate preventive measures to prevent periodontitis.
