Cultural Cold War and Literary Fever:A Study of Literary Preparation for War in the Third Front Construction

三线建设中的文艺活动与我国现代化进程中的政治、经济、社会存在着多重互动关系。在国际冷战背景下,战争意义上的“冷”与文艺实践上的“热”围绕着三线建设的全方位备战活动形成了有别于文革文艺的三线建设文艺热潮。在文学热中,三线建设文艺参与了三线单位社会中的社会治理,抒发了集体生活中三线人的政治情感,凝聚了三线精神,体现了重要的共产主义人文价值。三线建设文艺从20世纪六七十年代的备战,到八九十年代在改革开放后的多元语境下通过主旋律叙事参与文化竞争并抵制文化霸权,再到新时代成为弘扬中国精神、讲好中国故事的重要组成部分。以军工文艺为起点的三线建设文艺见证了马克思主义政党以人民为中心的文化强军和文化强国之路,是中国特色社会主义文艺在民族复兴道路上赓续革命文艺战斗性和先锋性的重要历史经验。

There are multiple interactions between the literary and artistic activities of the Third Front and the political,economic and social processes of modernization in China.In the context of the international Cold War,it was “cold” in the sense of war and “hot” in the practice of literature and art,a literary boom was formed in the construction of the Third Front,which was different from the literature of the Cultural Revolution.In this literary boom,the literature and art of the Third Line played an important role in the social governance of the Third Line units,expressed the political feelings of the Third Line people in collective life,united people with the Third Line spirit,and embodied communist humanistic values.Third-line construction literature and art went from war preparation in the 1960s and 1970s,to cultural competition and resisting cultural hegemony through melodramatic narratives in the 1980s and 1990s in the diverse context of post-reform and opening up,and becoming an important power in promoting the Chinese spirit and telling the Chinese story in the new era.The literature and art of the Third Front,which began with military literature and art,bears witness to the Marxist party's people-centred approach to strengthening the army and the country through culture.It is an important historical experience for socialist literature and art with Chinese characteristics to continue the combat and vanguard nature of revolutionary literature and art on the road to national rejuvenation.
