Discussion on the Application and Mechanism of“Treatment of Orofacial Diseases by Using Hegu(L14)”in Peripheral Facial Palsy

“面口合谷收”是中医学在医疗实践中的经验总结,强调了合谷穴对面口部疾患的重要性。周围性面瘫是临床常见病,常表现为口角歪斜、闭眼不能等,治疗不当会严重影响患者的生活质量及心理健康。文章基于“面口合谷收”理论在周围性面瘫中的的应用与机制进行探讨,以期为今后合谷穴在周围性面瘫中的应用提供参考依据。

In traditional Chinese medicine,the well-known saying that“in the treatment of disorders of the orofacial region,Hegu(LI4)is usually taken”is a highly summary of functions of acupoint LI4,which emphasizes the importance of the Hegu point for orofacial disorders.Peripheral facial palsy is a common clinical condition,which often manifests as crookedness of the mouth and inability to close the eyes,etc.Improper treatment can seriously affect the quality of life and psychological health of patients.This paper discusses the application and mechanism of“treatment of orofacial diseases by using Hegu(L14)”in peripheral facial palsy,hoping to provide a reference for the future application of Hegu point in peripheral facial palsy.
