摘要
“鼻”为何可以训为“始”一直是悬而未决的问题。文章指出,“鼻”的开始义是由鼻子义引申而来的。这最初是指动物而言,因为动物在水平空间中鼻子最靠前。英语中的“nose”和日语中的“な”在词义发展的过程中,也曾由鼻子义引申为最先、开始之义。
Why does the word bi(鼻)have the meaning of beginning still hang in doubt.This article hold that this meaning may come from its original meaning.That is to say,the meaning of nose in the word bi(鼻)extends in beginning.This is in terms of animals,for animals'nose is forefront.The word nose in English and the word□なin Japanese have the same extension of semantic meaning.
