摘要
大学院长作为学院的核心人物,不仅是学校发展战略的承接者,还是学院各项决策以及学院事务的领导者。理想的精英大学学院院长应该是战略科学家,他们不仅要具有博大精深的学识,还应具有卓越的战略思维。研究基于清华大学、北京大学、哈佛大学、斯坦福大学这四所精英大学学院院长履历的考察发现:国内精英大学“学缘”关系存在“继承”的现象;国内精英大学学院院长的历练之路较为单一;国内精英大学学院院长选拔存在“仕而优则学”的现象;国内精英大学男性院长占领主导地位,女性院长占比较少,而美国精英大学学院院长性别分布较为均匀。面向精英大学学院院长战略科学家的培养,其培养之路宜更开放,亟待更多的生涯历练,同时期待更多女性精英的加入。
As the central figure of the college,the college dean of a university is not only the bearer of the university's development strategy,but also the leader of the college's decision-making and college affairs.The ideal dean of an elite university should be a strategic scientist who is not only knowledgeable but also has excellent strategic thinking.Based on the biographies of the deans of four elite universities,Harvard,Stanford,Tsinghua,and Peking,this study finds that there is a phenomenon of"inheritance"in the"academic"relationship of elite universities in China;the deans of elite universities in China have a single path of training;the selection of deans of elite universities in China has the phenomenon of"academics matters the most";the deans of elite universities in China are dominantly males,female deans only accounting for a small proportion,while the deans of elite universities in the United States show a more even gender distribution.For the cultivation of deans as strategic scientists in elite universities,it is advisable that the training path should be more open;more career experience is urgently needed;and more female elites are expected to join.
