Analysis of 704 cornea donors’characteristics in Chengdu Aidi Eye Bank

目的分析成都爱迪眼库704例角膜供体资料特征.方法本研究为回顾性病例系列研究.纳入成都爱迪眼库2014年5月至2021年12月获捐的704例角膜供体,对年角膜捐献量变化趋势、占四川省总捐献量的比例及供体年龄、性别、职业和死因组成进行分析.结果角膜供体数量逐年上升,并呈稳定增长趋势,供体平均年龄逐年上升.男性495例,年龄(54.19±21.66)岁,女性209例,年龄(49.85±24.34)岁,男、女性分别占捐献总数的70.31%(495/704)和29.69%(209/704).捐赠者以体力劳动者为主,但其占比逐渐下降,而脑力劳动者的捐献比例逐渐增加.恶性肿瘤及心脑血管疾病为供体的主要死因,分别为35.80%(252/704)及25.14%(177/704),占捐赠者总数的60.94%(429/704).角膜2014至2021年8年间全省平均角膜捐献率为2.196/百万人,爱迪眼库获取的角膜占同期四川全省角膜捐献总量的47.70%(704/1476).结论成都爱迪眼库角膜供体以男性、年长者、体力劳动者居多,恶性肿瘤及心脑血管疾病为供体的主要死因.

Objective To analyze the characteristics of cornea donors of Chengdu Aidi Eye Bank in 704 donors.Methods This was a retrospective cases series study.Annual cornea donation of Chengdu Aidi Eye Bank was retrospectively analyzed from May 2014 to Dec.2021.The ratio of cornea donation of Chengdu Aidi Eye Bank to that of Sichuan province,as well as the proportion of different genders,ages,vocations and death causes of 704 corneal donors of Chengdu Aidi Eye Bank were calculated.Results The amount of corneal donor increased steadily year by year with the growth of average age of the donors.There were 495 males and 209 females,with the mean ages of(54.19±21.66)and(49.85±24.34)years,respectively,accounting for 70.31%(495/704)and 29.69%(209/704)of the total donations.The cornea donors were predominately from blue-collar class,but the contribution with white-collar population gradually increases.Malignant tumors(35.80%,252/704)and cardio-cerebrovascular diseases(25.14%,177/704)were the leading causes of death among the donors,accounting for 60.94%(429/704)of the total number of donors.The average corneal donation rate of Sichuan province was 2.196 per million in the population from 2014 to 2021,and the corneas procured by Aidi Eye Bank accounted for 47.70%(704/1476)of the total cornea donation in Sichuan province during the same period.Conclusion Males,elderlies and blue-collar workers contribute to the major part of cornea donation in Chengdu Aidi Eye Bank.The main causes of death of doners are malignant tumor and cardio-vascular diseases.
