Three Theoretical Problems in the History of Rhetoric:On Zong Tinghu and Li Jinling’s Contributions to the History of Rhetoric Study and the Rhetoric History

治修辞史或修辞学史,必须重视三个理论问题。一是统辖“学”与“史”的科学修辞观,二是整合“史”与“论”的正确历史观,三是兼顾“点”与“面”的辩证研究法。而在这三个方面做的比较到位的是复旦大学的宗廷虎和李金苓,他们的修辞史和修辞学史研究为学界提供了史学研究的范例。

Three theoretical problems must be paid attention to in the history of rhetoric.One is the scientific rhetoric view governing“study”and“history”,the second is the correct historical view integrating“history”and“theory”,and the third is the dialectical research method taking into account“point”and“comprehensive”.Zong Tinghu and Li Jinling of Fu-dan University have done well in these three aspects,and their research on the history of rhetoric has provided an example for the academic circle.
