摘要
本文基于网络社会的媒介技术背景,辨析了学术研究和媒介实践中“谣言”与“流言”概念间的关系。不同于“谣言危害论”和“谣言正当论”,本文提出“流言科学认识论”的研究立场,分析了流言的易得性、强关系、偏颇性、回音壁、无标度、混合性等六种传播特征,最后以“流言科学认识论”为立足点分析了当下流言治理需要重点考虑的治理环境要素。
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the prolonged period of urban silence have thrust rumors to the forefront,making the definitions of "rumors"(or "misinformation") a contentious focus in the current Chinese context.This paper,grounded in the backdrop of media technology in the network society,delves into the relationship between the concepts of "rumors" and "misinformation" in academic research and media practice.Departing from the perspectives of "rumor hazards" and "rumor legitimacy," this article introduces the research stance of "rumor science." Using We Chat rumors during the COVID-19 pandemic as an illustrative example,the paper analyzes six propagation characteristics of rumors:accessibility,strong ties,bias,echo chambers,scale-free,and hybridity.Finally,from the standpoint of "rumor science," this paper examines the crucial governance environmental elements that require consideration in the current context of rumor management.
