摘要
基于期望—价值理论,考察大学英语学习者的期望动机和价值动机(内在、近端效用、远端效用和成本价值)对行为投入和行为脱离的预测作用。来自东北某高校243名非英语专业大学生参与了问卷调查。研究显示:(1)学习者的英语学习行为投入水平较高,行为脱离水平较低,英语学习期望动机和价值动机处于中等偏上到高水平。(2)学习者的英语学习成功期望和内在价值显著正向预测英语学习行为投入,负向预测行为脱离。(3)学习者的英语学习远端效用价值显著负向预测英语学习行为投入,英语学习成本价值显著正向预测英语学习行为投入。
Drawing on the Expectancy-Value Theory,investigate the predictive effects of expectancy and value motivation(intrinsic,proximal utility,distal utility and cost value)on behavioral engagement and behavioral disengagement.A total of 243 non-English majors participates in the survey.The results indicate that:(1)The learners’behavioral engagement is high and behavioral disengagement is low.The learners have an upper-medium to high level of expectancy and value motivations;(2)The learners’expectancy of success and intrinsic value positively predict behavioral engagement and negatively predict behavioral disengagement;(3)The learners’distal utility value has a significantly negative predictive effects on behavioral engagement,while cost value has positive ones.The findings can provide implications for the regulation of foreign language learners’classroom behaviors.
