Objective To investigate the effect of levosimendan combined with recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide(rhBNP)on elderly patients with refractory heart failure. Methods Seventy elderly patients with refractory heart failure admitted to our hospital from September 2021 to August 2022 were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 35 cases in each group. Both of the two groups were given basis of conventional treatment, while the control group was treated with levosimendan and the observation group was treated with levosimendan and rhBNP.The clinical efficacy,NT-proBNP and LVEF were compared between the two groups. Results Forty-eight hours after treatment, the clinical symptoms of both groups were all improved, and the effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,NT-proBNP in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, while LVEF in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Levosimendan combined with recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide can significantly improve the clinical symptoms, reduce the concentration of NT-proBNP and increase the level of LVEF on elderly patients with refractory heart failure, with high safety.
