摘要
The liver plays a crucial role in maintaining whole-body metabolic homeostasis and harbors a distinct immune environment(Robinson et al.,2016).However,during the aging process, the liver undergoes structural and functional changes that can disrupt the delicate balance between the immune system and liver function. These age-related alterations can lead to increased susceptibility to metabolic diseases, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),and impairments in immune cell regulation and tissue repair(Albillos et al.,2022;Anstee et al.,2019).
