摘要
外语教育因其学科特殊性一直是不同文化与意识形态交流与交锋的前沿阵地,信息科技与全球化不仅为外语课堂提供了源源不断的交流素材,更让此间的冲突碰撞愈加频繁。对地方普通高校而言,其外语教育面临着不同于一流高校的文化安全困境,如矮化型与崇拜型并存的外语学习观、知识与技能教学任务压力下受阻的文化育人目标、师生参差不齐的文化自觉与自信水平、疏离当地文化的语种设置与教学内容等。对这些困境的解决不仅有助于推动高校外语教育改革与人才素质提升,更对维护国家与地方文化安全意义重大。因此,地方普通高校应着力转变学生及其家长偏颇的外语学习观,提高师生文化素养,重视课堂思政,多角度、多层次、多渠道培养学生的文化自觉与自信,编写融地方文化于内的校本外语教材,有条件时开设地方经济社会发展亟需的外语语种等。
Foreign language education in higher institutions is always the frontier where different cultures and thoughts communicate and collide.Information technology and globalization bring to foreign language classes not only bumper contents but also more ideological clashes.So maintaining national cultural security becomes greatly important.While for local colleges,the difficulties they face are not the same as those top-leveled universities are confronted with.In local colleges,there exist both the underestimated and over-admired views on foreign language learning.Tasks to improve students’language knowledge and skills are too hard to carry out the cultural cultivation of students.The cultural consciousness and confidence among students and teachers vary and the languages and contents taught are far away from the local society.Therefore,local colleges should help students and their parents build unbiased language learning views,improve faculty’s and students’cultural competence,emphasize ideological guidance,cultivate students’cultural consciousness and confidence,compile textbooks with local cultures involved and if possible offer the foreign languages needed by local society.For these changes would not only promote the reform of foreign language education in local colleges and benefit the talents cultivation,but also be very meaningful for maintaining national and local cultural security.
