摘要
[目的/意义]通过对国际知名高校数据可视化相关课程进行分析,归纳总结其课程设置情况及特点,为我国图情院系数据可视化课程建设提供参考。[方法/过程]利用网络调查和内容分析法,选取QS全球前100高校中已经开设数据可视化相关课程的53所高校,从先导知识、教学计划、课程内容、考核方式4个维度对数据可视化相关课程进行细化研究,分析其实践进展与特点。[结果/结论]QS全球前100高校中有53所已经积极参与到数据可视化课程教学,调研案例中呈现数据可视化课程高认可度、跨学科特征突出、理论与实践相结合、专业设置趋势明显的教学特点。我国图情院系可充分参考DVL-FW过程模型设计数据可视化课程核心内容以及学习国际知名高校数据可视化课程实践经验,同时注重工具学习、批判性思维、伦理等辅助技能学习等。
[Purpose/Significance]This paper investigates the data visualization courses of internationally renowned universities,summarizes their curriculums settings and characteristics,and provides suggestions for construction of data visualization course in the departments of library and information in China.[Method/Process]By using internet search and content analysis method,53 universities among QS top 100 universities in the world that offers courses related to data visualization were selected to investigate how the courses related to data visualization are taught in four dimensions:leading knowledge,teaching plan,course content and assessment methods.[Result/Conclusion]53 of the top 100 universities in the QS world university rankings offers data visualization courses.The investigated cases show that the data visualization courses are highly acknowledged.The course is interdisciplinary.The teaching content combines theory and practice.Some universities have set up the teaching of the knowledge of data visualization as a major.The departments of library and information science in China can make use of DVL-FW process model to design the core content of data visualization courses and learn experience from internationally renowned universities.Studying the tool that can be used to visualize data,critical thinking,ethics,and other auxiliary skills should be emphasize in the teaching as well.
