Project cost control is an important part of project management,which is directly related to the economic benefits of the project and the success or failure of the construction.At present,the market competition in the field of engineering projects is fierce,the cost of development and construction is increasing,and the homogenization competition is serious.How to effectively control the engineering cost has become an important content of engineering project management.The quality and rationality of the project investment budget is an important factor affecting the project cost,which can directly control the project cost,save the project investment funds,reduce the project cost,prevent the investment risk and make the project cost change within a reasonable range.This paper analyzes the relationship between project budget estimate and project cost,analyzes the compilation of budget estimate and existing problems with engineering examples,and puts forward measures to improve the quality of project budget estimate.
