摘要
甘氨酸是人体内分子量最小的氨基酸,具有抗氧化的特性。近年来已有多项研究提示糖尿病患者体内甘氨酸水平下降,而补充甘氨酸对糖尿病及其慢性并发症均具有保护作用,包括改善糖代谢、减轻胰岛素抵抗、缓解糖尿病肾脏损伤、心血管并发症及认知功能损害等,其共同机制可能与甘氨酸促进谷胱甘肽合成、激活抗氧化核心通路,最终改善糖尿病导致的抗氧化屏障失衡相关。本综述就甘氨酸对胰岛功能和糖尿病并发症的保护作用进行阐述。
Glycine,the simplest amino acid in human body,possesses antioxidant properties.In recent years,studies have demonstrated that glycine levels decrease in diabetic patients.Glycine supplementation has protective effects in diabetes and its chronic complications,including improving glucose metabolism,reducing kidney damage,cardiovascular complications and cognitive impairment.Possible unifying mechanisms include the promotion of glutathione synthesis and the activation of multiple antioxidant pathways,which ultimately improve the damaged antioxidant barrier under diabetes.This review illustrates the protective effects of glycine on islet function and diabetic complications.
