英汉“颜色形容词+宾语”构式特征及其认知理据 被引量:1

The features of English and Chinese constructions of "color adjectives+objects"and their cognitive motivations

摘要 基于在线语料库COCA和BCC语料数据的分析,本文对比分析了英汉“颜色形容词+宾语”构式的语用、句法和语义特征的共性和差异。英汉语的共性主要表现在基本颜色词的频率、颜色词的及物化、颜色词及其构式的语义类型。英汉语的差异主要表现在“颜色形容词+宾语”构式的语用频率、颜色词成员动用的范围、颜色词的及物性程度、颜色词修饰语的语义类型、构式义的客观性和概括性程度以及构式拓展义的程度。英汉“颜色形容词+宾语”构式共性的认知理据主要为英汉民族对颜色形容词原型成员的认知方式相似,而英汉“颜色形容词+宾语”构式差异的认知理据主要为思维方式的差异和认知识解方式的差异。 Based on the analysis of the data from the online corpus like COCA and BCC,this paper makes a contrastive analysis of the similarities and differences in the pragmatic,syntactic and semantic features of English and Chinese con-structions of"color adjectives+objects".The similarities mainly exist in such aspects as the frequencies of basic color words,transitivity of color words and the semantic types of color words and their constructions.The differences are mainly found in such aspects as the pragmatic frequencies of the constructions of"color adjectives+objects",the scope of the verbalization of color word members,the transitivity degree of color words,the semantic types of the modifiers of color words,the objectivity and generality and extension degree of the construction meaning.The cognitive motivations for the similarities in English and Chinese constructions of"color adjectives+objects"are:English and Chinese nations have similar cognitive modes for the prototype members of color words.The cognitive motivations for the differences in English and Chinese"color adjectives+objects"c constructions are:English and Chinese nations have different thinking modes and different cognitive construal ways.
