Research on Innovative Strategies for English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges from the Perspective of Employment Orientation

高职院校作为培养应用型、实用型人才的重要阵地,其教育目标主要聚焦于学生的就业和职业发展。英语作为一门国际通用语言,对学生的就业竞争力和职业发展至关重要。但传统的高职院校英语教学模式存在一些问题,如过于注重语言知识传授,忽视学生应用能力的培养,以及缺乏与就业需求相适应的教学内容和方法等。高职院校英语教学要积极探索创新策略,以适应“就业导向”的要求,提高学生的就业竞争力和社会适应能力。

As an important battlefield for cultivating applied and practical talents,vocational colleges mainly focus on students'employment and career development.As an internationally recognized language,English is crucial for students'job competitiveness and career development.However,there are some problems with the traditional English teaching mode in vocational colleges,such as overemphasizing the teaching of language knowledge,neglecting the cultivation of students'application abilities,and lacking teaching content and methods that are suitable for employment needs.English teaching in vocational colleges should actively explore innovative strategies to meet the requirements of"employment orientation"and improve students'employment competitiveness and social adaptability.
