TCM master LU Fang's experience in the treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia

LU Fang,a TCM master,is good at treating various difficult diseases.When treating primary trigeminal neuralgia,professor LU believed that wind pathogens,wind-fire,wind-cold,etc.were common in the early stage of the disease,and the long-term disease caused more phlegm,deficiency and blood stasis.According to the clinical symptoms of patients,primary trigeminal neuralgia was divided into three types:wind-fire,wind-cold and blood stasis.With functions of activating blood and winding analgesia and relieving pain for total treatment,assisting in dispelling wind and heat,warming and dispelling cold,promoting blood circulation.LU Fang's medicines have few tastes and are refined,and the amount is large and specialized.He chooses empirical medicine pairs with the addition and subtraction of meridian-inducing drugs.On this basis,he focuses on regulating emotions,the clinical effect is significant and it is not easy to relapse,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
