The component marked by lian is a contrastive topic.This concept is an important achievement of the in-depth development of information structure theory.Contrastive topic represents specific scalar implicatures by indexing sub informativity.It is always contrastive,which is different from general thematic topic,and has no exclusivity of contrastive focus.Lian is a contrastive topic marker.Its syntactic restriction is higher than that of lexical,prosodic and non-specific grammatical methods used in other languages,and that makes this construction significant in typological studies.
