摘要
1923年,日本关东地区发生了7.9级强烈地震,惨况令世人震惊。中国各界积极地发起对日赈灾募捐,日本军民却趁震灾后的混乱,残忍地杀害了700余名手无寸铁的旅日中国人。惨案发生后,中华民国政府迫于国内舆论压力,派出专员赴日调查,但由于日本政府推行销毁证据、封杀报道的彻底隐瞒策略,这一重大外交事件被湮没在历史长河之中。本文爬梳中日两国有识之士追寻事件真相的艰辛历程,整理中日两国学者的史料挖掘状况和研究脉络,希冀抛砖引玉,引起更多学者对该事件的深化研究。
On September 1st,1923,a 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Kanto region of Japan,and the tragedy shocked the world.But as people from various sectors in China made donations to Japan,the Japanese army exploited the chaos following the earthquake and brutally killed over 700 Chinese expatriates living in Japan.After the massacre,the central government of the Republic of China(1912-1949)dispatched specialists to investigate the case in Japan under the domestic public opinion pressure.However,due to the Japanese government's strategy of destroying evidence and banning media coverage,this important diplomatic event gradually receded into history.The author of the article combs through the arduous journey of visionary people from China and Japan in pursuing the truth of the case and organizes the historical materials and researches of Chinese and Japanese scholars,hoping to motivate more scholars to pursue deeper research on the subject.
