Moderating Effect of Population Migration on Aging and Industrial Structure Upgrading

人口老龄化与人口流动是当前中国社会发展过程中两个重要的现象,它们对产业结构升级产生了重要的影响。基于2000—2021年中国省级面板数据,对人口老龄化、人口流动与产业结构升级的相互关系开展实证探究。研究结果表明,老龄化对产业结构升级存在显著的阻碍影响,而人口流动对老龄化和产业结构升级存在显著的调节效应。在人口老龄化背景下,有序引导人口流动将促进我国产业结构升级的稳定性和可持续性。

Population aging and population migration,as two major phenomena in the process of social development in China,have a particularly important impact on the industrial structure upgrading.Based on China's provincial panel data from 2000 to 2021,this paper empirically explores the relationship between population aging,population mobility and industrial structure upgrading.The research results indicate that aging has a significant hindrance effect on industrial structure upgrading,while population mobility has a significant moderating effect on aging and industrial structure upgrading.In the context of aging,orderly guidance of population mobility will promote the stability and sustainability of China's industrial structure upgrading.
