The artificial intelligence tool Chat GPT developed by company Open AI has become a phenomenal consumer application once it was launched,bringing disruptive impact to all walks of life.On the basis of a detailed review of the technical principles and development process of Chat GPT,in the perspective of intelligent library construction,the article proposes that Chat GPT can provide assistance in four aspects of library information resource management construction,intelligent space scene construction,wisdom consulting service construction and librarian service capacity construction.It analyzes the risks and challenges of Chat GPT to the construction of intelligent library,including privacy leakage,question and answer authenticity problem and copyright risk.Finally,the relevant matters that need to be paid attention to are given in Chat GPT intervention in the construction of intelligent library.
