Can the Platform Economy Break Down Labor Market Segmentation?

平台经济作为数字经济的重要组成部分,能否在促进商品消费和流通的同时进一步打破各地的劳动力市场分割?本文采用2013-2021年我国省级面板数据实证分析了平台经济对劳动力市场分割的影响。结果表明:平台经济显著缓解了劳动力市场分割,对省内劳动力市场分割的缓解效应大于省外,且在劳动力市场分割程度越高的地区缓解效应越大。作用机制分析结果表明平台经济的发展促进了劳动力流动,进而缓解劳动力市场分割。同时,只有在地区的互联网发展水平达到一定程度之后平台经济的发展才能够缓解劳动力市场分割。本文为促进劳动力要素充分流动和全国统一大市场的建设提供政策参考。

As an important part of the digital economy,can the platform economy further break the labor market segmentation while promoting the consumption and circulation of goods?Using China's provincial panel data during the period of 2013-2021,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of platform economy on labor market segmentation.The empirical results show that the platform economy has significantly alleviated the labor market segmentation.Furthermore,the mitigation effect within the province is greater than that outside the province and is accentuated in areas with higher labor market segmentation.The mechanism analyses indicate that the development of the platform economy can alleviate the segmentation of the labor market by promoting labor mobility.At the same time,the development of the platform economy can alleviate labor market segmentation only after the level of Internet development in the region reaches a certain level.This paper provides a policy reference for promoting the full flow of labor factors and the construction of a unified national market.
