Nazi Physicians and Human Experimentation--Taking Sterilization Experiments as an Example

大规模的绝育是希姆莱种族理论的一部分,德国采用大规模绝育策略时,考虑了三种方法:药物治疗、X光、宫内刺激。分析纳粹医生作为接受过高等教育的知识分子,为何从事惨无人道的医学人体实验。(一)纳粹医生对健康种族免受污染威胁有过承诺;(二)死亡的权利属于国家,当社会必须牺牲某些人时,医生的工作只是为了减轻被杀害者的痛苦;(三)大多数实验对象已被判了死刑,纳粹医生认为最好是“从恶中生善”;(四)德国医生接受对纳粹的服从,为这个国家服务是医学界的唯一目标。

Mass sterilization was part of Himmler's racial theory.When Germany implemented a mass sterilization program,they con-sidered three methods:drug treatment,X-rays,and intrauterine stimulation.The thesis will analyze the fllowings reasons that caused Nazi phyicians,as educated itellectuals,to engage in inhumane human experimentation:(1)Nazi physicians were comited to protecting the Aryan race from contamination;(2)The right to death belongs to the state,and when some must be sacrificed for society's good,a physician's work.is only to alleviate the suffering of those who will die;(3)Most experimental subjects had already been sentenced to death,and Nazi physicians believed it best to"create good fom evil";(4)German physicians accepted unconditional obedience to the Nazis,and serving the nation was the sole objective of the medical profession.
