A Study on Alice Walker's Black National Consciousness in Her Novel Collection In Love and Trouble

黑人著名女性小说家艾丽斯·沃克的小说集《爱情与烦恼》出版于1973年,该小说集体现了沃克写作生涯以来对非裔美国人的民族意识、非洲文化和宗教习俗的传承的写作焦点。本文通过分析《爱情与烦恼》中黑人民族语言的记录,对黑人传统文化的立场以及对非洲传统宗教的再现,指出沃克创作早期从文学路径强调黑人文化的完整性以及黑人文学独特的“黑人性”的意图。

Alice Walker,the famous black female novelist,published her novel collection In Love and Trouble in 1973,which reflected Walker's focuses on the African-American ethnic consciousness,African culture and the inheritance of religious customs.By analyzing the record of the black national language,the stand on the black traditional culture and the representation of the African traditional religion in In Love and Trouble,this paper points out that Walker's intention of the emphases on the integrity of the black culture and the intention of the unique characteristic of “black” in black literature from the literary path in her early creation.
