With the expansion of the field of ecological research,ecological discourse analysis has been constantly applied to literary criticism and discourse analysis,becoming a hot topic of language research.The Call of the Wild contains diverse ecological discourse content,with distinct thematic implications,explaining the relationship between human development and natural ecology,and interpreting the significance of individual survival and existence.Based on the brief introduction of the content of The Call of the Wild and the author's introduction,the theoretical basis of ecological discourse analysis is clarified.By analyzing the ecological discourse in the novel from the perspectives of “material process”,“psychological process”,“relational process”,and “speech process”,we can appreciate the author's unique and distinct ecological philosophy.
