“The Cuckoo Sings Again”is one of the most significant plays in the fourth script.The evolution of its various versions reflects the intricate relationship between politics and literature.The creation of the first edition demonstrates how drama activities have been integrated into national strategies,governmental initiatives,and social public services since the establishment of New China.The development of the initial version highlights the positive impact of the director's creative interpretation on the text.The formation of the revised version,on the other hand,underscores the significant influence of drama criticism on the play.Summarizing the experiences and lessons learned from the different editions of“The Cuckoo Sings Again”holds immense importance for advancing socialist literary and artistic creation to a higher level today.It also contributes to strengthening the evaluation of literary and artistic works through critical analysis.
