The COVID-19 pandemic and frequent natural disasters worldwide have hastened the evolution of global development pattern and raised public awareness of the importance of environmental protection.As a nascent financial model,green finance can promote sustainable economic and social development through capital guidance and distribution,achieving a harmonious coexistence of man and nature,which aligns with the environmental protection concept in traditional Chinese culture.This paper systematically explores the internal mechanism of achieving high-quality economic development through green finance,as well as the inevitability and sustainability of the rise of green finance.On that basis,the authors conduct in-depth analysis of international practices of green finance development and propose several key issues and policy recommendations for the development of green finance in China,aiming to provide meaningful thoughts and suggestions for the development of green finance in China and around the world.
