This paper expounds the causes of faults in distribution lines and their handling techniques,including fiber optic communication technology for distribution network automation,automatic isolation and recovery technology for fault areas,solutions for faults in distribution network automation,network protection technology,and explores preventive measures for cable faults in distribution networks.
