The Pioneering Role of Libraries in Information Culture Development-Summary of Peking University Library 125th Anniversary International Conference

2023年10月28—29日,北京大学图书馆举办“纪念北京大学图书馆建馆125周年·图书馆引领的信息文化国际学术研讨会”,来自海内外近百所高校的图书馆馆长及馆员代表,北京大学相关部门负责人、学生代表以及图书馆新老馆员代表等近200人参加。会议紧扣“图书馆引领的信息文化建设”“图书馆与中华民族现代文明”“数智时代高校图书馆转型发展”等多项议题展开研讨交流。文章综述了与会专家的学术报告及前沿思考,探究高校图书馆新时代下信息文化建设、智慧化数字化建设等方面的发展内涵、探索路径与未来趋势。

In celebrating Peking University Library s 125th Anniversary,the“International Conference on the Pioneering Role of Libraries in Information Culture Development”was held at Peking University Library on October 28-29,2023.Nearly 200 participants attended the event,including library directors and representatives from nearly 100 universities from both domestic and international institutions,as well as department heads,student representatives from Peking University,and both current and former library staff from Peking University Library.The conference focused on topics such as“The Pioneering Role of Libraries in Information Culture Development”“Library and Modern Chinese Civilization”and“Transformation and Development of University Libraries in the Digital Age”facilitating discussions and exchanges.This article provides an overview of the academic achievements and cutting-edge thoughts shared by presenters,exploring the development,connotations,paths,and future trends of information cultural construction and intelligent digital transformation of university libraries in the new era.
