In order to investigate the relationship between social support,self-esteem,and subjective well-being among impoverished college students, the study conducts a survey of 164 college students. There are no significant differences in social support,self-esteem,and subjective well-being between impoverished and non-impoverished college students.Being an only child significantly influences the social support,self-esteem,and subjective well-being of impoverished college students.Social support,self-esteem and subjective well-being of impoverished college students are correlated with each other, and the relationship is significant.Social support and self-esteem have certain predictive influence on subjective well-being.It is further concluded that the improvement of social support and self-esteem contributes to the enhancement of the subjective well-being of impoverished college students, and the utilization of social support can predict their subjective well-being to some extent. It is suggested to cultivate the positive psychological quality of impoverished college students, increase social support, improve their utilization of social support, and promote the dual attention of financial assistance and psychological education to impoverished college students,so as to effectively improve their physical and mental health.
