The Past,Present and Future of the“Ten Lines”of Local Chronicles

改革开放两轮修志期以来,在传统修志主业基础上,方志“十业”(志、鉴、馆、网、库、刊、用、会、研、史)逐渐形成,从而使全国地方志事业呈现出“一业为主,十业并举,全面发展”的繁盛局面。而面向中国式现代化建设的新时代,方志各业同样需守正创新,与时俱进,以调整、新增等方式构建事业发展新格局,不断实现创造性转化和创新性发展。

In the two rounds of compilation of local chronicles since the reform and opening up,ten lines of local chron⁃icles(chronicles,yearbooks,museums of local chronicles,network of local chronicles,databases,periodicals,development and utilization of chronicles,societies,theoretical research,and local history)have gradually developed with chronicle compilation as the traditional major line.Thanks to this,China has depicted an encouraging picture in the local chronicles,where the major line is highlighted but other ones also gain well-balanced development.As we usher in a new era of Chi⁃nese modernization,all lines of the local chronicles need to uphold fundamental principles and break new ground,and keep pace with the times,to build a new development pattern through adjustment and addition,and keep enabling creative trans⁃formation and innovative development.
