齿轮类标准化文件的词句特征及汉译——以GB/T 8542《高速齿轮传动装置技术规范》为例

Expression Features and Translation of Standardized Documents on Gears——Taking the Translation of High Speed Gear Units Technical Specifications as an Example

齿轮类标准化文件在用词方面表现为专业词汇多、一词多义、常使用省略表达等特点,在语句方面表现为多使用被动句、复杂句、句子在表述理解方面会出现歧义等特点,在文本功能上属于典型的信息型文本。本文结合实例,对齿轮类标准化文件的词句特征进行分析,并从交际翻译的视角,对翻译进行剖析或修正,以期为相近文本的翻译提供有益的参考。

Standardized documents on gears are characterized by frequent use of technical words and phrases,polysemy and omited expressions in terms of vocabulary.When it comes to sentences,they are characterized by use of passive sentences,complex structure,and ambiguous expressions.Standardized documents are typical in-formative texts from the perspective of text functionality.This study illustrates word and sentence features of standardized documents with examples,analyzes or corrects the translation from the perspective of communica-tive translation,in hope of providing reference for the translation of similar texts.
