With the continuous development of global trade,ports,as an important node of cargo circulation,are faced with increasing cargo throughput and complex operation demands.In order to improve the efficiency and safety of the port,the automation technology of the gantry crane is gradually applied in the port loading and unloading operations.This paper discussed the application status,advantages and challenges of port gantry crane automation technology,and proposed corresponding solutions.
