金砖国家历史性扩员为非洲发展提供新机遇

The historic expansion of BRICS membership offers new opportunities for Africa's development

金砖国家绝大多数都是签署了共建“一带一路”合作协议的国家,不论是金砖国家合作还是“一带一路”倡议,都是共商、共建、共享的联动发展平台。2023年8月金砖国家领导人第十五次会晤期间,金砖国家实现了历史性扩员,沙特阿拉伯、埃及、阿联酋、阿根廷、伊朗、埃塞俄比亚正式成为金砖国家成员。此次扩员是金砖国家发展的里程碑,也是全球治理体系改革的新起点。

After the expansion,the overall strength of BRICS countries has been further enhanced.The six new member states come from Asia,Africa and Latin America respectively,and take into account regional balance and representativeness.The recognition of the new member states by developing countries in their respective regions will be directly projected to the BRICS countries,greatly enhancing the global influence of the BRICS countries.The spillover effect of BRICS cooperation will enable the African continent to receive more investment in trade,investment,infrastructure and capacity building.After the expansion,the BRICS countries will continue to unify the position of developing countries through their own influence,speak with one voice,and play the role of a bridge of communication and coordination between developing countries and developed countries.China should actively promote the alignment of BRICS countries with the Belt and Road Initiative,the Global Development Initiative,the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative,and provide practical platforms and driving forces for BRICS countries with Chinese wisdom and solutions.
