“报刊”视角与中国香港文学史研究的纵深发展——《报刊香港》与《谛听杂音》对读

The Perspectives of Newspapers or Magazines and the In-depth Development of the Studies of a History of Literature in Hong Kong:A Comparative Reading of Newspapers and Magazines in Hong Kong and Listening to a Cacophony of Noises

2019年,两本中国香港文学史研究专著——内地学者赵稀方的《报刊香港》与香港地区本地学者樊善标的《谛听杂音》——几乎在同一时间出版。两本书都以“报刊”为视角,深入探究了中国香港文学生成与发展的过程。通过两本书的比较阅读可发现,一方面,“报刊”视角在史料文献的挖掘上对推进中国香港文学史的研究有着积极意义,如《报刊香港》对中国香港文学起点的溯源,《谛听杂音》对专栏作家十三妹文学活动的考证等;另一方面,“报刊”本身也具有方法论的意义,通过对媒介、文本、公共空间的综合探究,两书深刻展现了中国香港文学场域的历史复杂性。另外,两本书都回应与参与了中国香港文学“在地性”问题的讨论,从“报刊”视角展现中国香港文学本土意识生成的过程。相信两书对于中国香港文学史研究的再出发都有重要的启发意义。

In 2019,two scholarly books on a history of literature in Hong Kong were published almost simultaneously,one being Newspapers and Magazines in Hong Kong region by Zhao Xifang,a mainland scholar,and the other being Listening to a Cacophony of Noises,by Fan Sin-piu,a native Hong Kong region scholar.From the angle of newspapers and magazines,both books provide an in-depth exploration of the process in which Hong Kong literature is born and bred,and how it develops.By doing a comparative reading of the two books it can be found that,on one hand,the digging into the historical material from the angle of newspapers and magazines has a positive significance in the advancement of the studies of literary histories in Hong Kong,as evidenced by Newspapers and Magazines in Hong Kong that sources the starting point of the literary history of Hong Kong or by Listening to a Cacophony of Noises that examines the literary activities of Shi San Mei,a columnist.On the other hand,newspapers and magazines also have a significance of methodology as the two books,by comprehensively exploring the space of media,text and public,show the historical complexity of the literary sites in Hong Kong on a deep level.In addition,both books have made responses to and participated in the discussion of the in-situ issue of Hong Kong literature,exhibiting the generative process of the native consciousness of Hong Kong literature from the angle of newspapers and magazines.It is believed that the two books will be of an enlightening significance in the re-departure of the studies of literary histories in Hong Kong.
