On the CPC's Understanding of the Principal Conflict Facing Chinese Socialist Society

1956年社会主义改造基本完成,标志着我国进入了社会主义社会。中国共产党团结带领全国人民为探索社会主义建设的正确道路,历经了种种艰难,其中对社会主义社会主要矛盾的认识,经历了“先进的社会主义制度与落后的社会生产力之间的矛盾”到“两个阶级两条道路之间的矛盾”再到“人民群众日益增长的物质文化生活需要同落后的社会生产之间的矛盾”和“人民日益增长的美好生活需要和不平衡不充分的发展之间的矛盾”这样不同的阶段。考察这些认识的来源及其影响,有助于我们坚定走中国特色社会主义道路。

The socialist transformation was basically completed in 1956,marking China's entry into a socialist society.In order to embark on the correct path of socialist construction,the CPC united and led the people of the whole nation in various difficult explorations.Among them,the understanding of the principal conflict facing Chinese socialist society has gone through several different stages:from the"conflict between the advanced socialist system and the backward social productive forces"to the"conflict between the two classes and the two paths",to the"conflict between the people's growing material and cultural needs and the backwardness of social production",and then to the"conflict between unbalanced and inadequate development on the one side and the people's ever-growing desire for a better life on the other',Examining the origins of these understandings and their implications will help Chinese people firmly follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
